Why we picked it
The system connects to your existing tap with a diverter and uses Doulton’s Biotect Ultra ceramic and carbon cartridge, which Doulton says is tested and certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 and is WRAS approved. Its predecessor cartridge (Ultracarb) has an NSF data sheet on file with California’s water board showing over 99% lead reduction.
Best for
Renters who want more than a jug without fitting an under-sink unit
Not for
People mainly worried about PFAS, as the Biotect Ultra cartridge makes no PFAS claim
The details that matter.
- • Ceramic plus carbon cartridge, no RO waste water
